Never underestimate the importance of a proper warm up.  The warm up is designed to not only loosen up tight muscles, it is also preparing your central nervous system.  Your body needs to be prepared to receive heavy weight, produce power, and generate speed.  A workout specific warm up is key to a successful lift and WOD.
