How fast does your body recover? That is the point of planned rest.  Can your body recover fast enough to be prepared for the next task? Are you aware of your breathing patterns? Your heart rate?  During those planned rest times, bring your breathing and heart rate back to a reasonable state and you will find your body is ready for the next task.
