Tip of the Day
Rowing a 5k is just as mentally challenging as it is physically.  Staying in one spot and doing the same motion for an extending period of time can drive you insane and make you want to quit.  You have a few options, however.  You would totally zone out and think of nothing, but that's hard to do for 20+ minutes.  You could focus on your form and making sure every pull feels exactly the same.  You could vary your intensity, fast and powerful for 500, smooth and steady for 500.  You could focus on your wattage, which is your power output.  Can you keep that number consistently over 800, 900, or 1000?  This will help you to take your mind off of the movement and hopefully help you set a PR.
