A Tip For Today
Although the deadlift is thought to target just the posterior chain, it actually hits the entire body.  It is not uncommon after deadlifts for your upper back, lats, and obliques to be sore.  The deadlift demands a lot of attention from the set up all the way until lock out.  Be extremely picky about how your for looks, as this lift packs quite a punch.
