There is a huge difference between barbell strength and gymnastics strength. We have seen some really strong barbell athletes unable to do many gymnastics movements. Gymnastics requires full body activation and positioning to make it stronger and more efficient. The best way to accomplish this is to work on your shapes on the floor, apply those shapes to your strict movements, work on negatives and slow motion drills, then add intensity with full range of motion and kipping.
